Item/Description: This watercolor entitled "Saddling Up" is by American artist, Arthur Kelly David known landscapes, illustrations and wildlife. Bold strokes, abstract, clever play of light and shadows. Signed by artist lower right: A.K.D. Healy. Matted, distressed painted wood frame. Hanging wire /hardware. Adhesive label with typewritten title and artist name. ( Cowboy art; Horses; Western themed art).
During his career Healy painted in New York City, his birthplace as well as in Addison, Vermont where he resided and which was a dominant location for many of his later works. He exhibited widely throughout his career including at the California Watercolor Society in 1942.
