Rare backsplash made of silver-plated nickel silver, produced in the Austrian Arthur Krupp factories in the early 20th century.
Berndorf, was founded in 1845 in Austria, immediately collaborating with important designers, including Otto Prutscher, Pillipp Häusler, Guido Heigl, Alfred Sachs and many others.
The company specialized in the production of silver-plated and non-silvered nickel silver.
In 1890 the brand became Krupp-Berndorf, after the merger with Arthur Krupp's company.
Starting from the 1920s, Krupp-Berndorf opened production plants in Italy, including one in Milan where collections were created with the participation of the most famous Italian designers of the time, including Gio Ponti.
Many of Gio Ponti's designs can also be found in the production of the Austrian factories.
Good conservative conditions, normal signs of aging.
Rare and collectible.
