90 x 46 inches. A large rectangular textile panel, designed as a portiere or wall hanging, featuring a dense, symmetrical Arts and Crafts style pattern. The face is a heavy-weight jacquard woven fabric with a repeating vertical motif of stylized yellow tulips and acanthus-like foliage in sage green and ochre orange. These elements are set against a dark teal ground. The panel is constructed with a plain-weave light olive green cotton or linen lining. The edges are finished with a cream-colored twisted rope piping or braid trim. The reverse side shows the woven structure of the face fabric at the top edge where the lining is detached. No maker marks, signatures, or woven labels are present on the textile or the lining.
