Arts and Crafts Quarter Sawn Oak Office File Cabinet

Single-piece Arts and Crafts style office storage cabinet constructed of quarter-sawn oak with a medium-brown finish. The cabinet features a specialized lift-top following the Mission style, opening to a deep compartment with a tilting front panel secured by a multi-link folding metal stay. The interior of the top section contains an adjustable wooden follower block with rounded ears and a metal guide. Below the top compartment are two small side-by-side drawers and one large deep file drawer at the base. All drawers and the tilting panel utilize metal side glides. Hardware includes cast brass label-holder cup pulls on the upper drawers and a larger label-holder with a vertical D-handle on the lower drawer. A side-mounted circular locking mechanism is present on the right side. The unit is set on four wooden casters. No manufacturer labels are present. 37 3/4" H x 15 1/2" W x 21 1/2" D.

Condition Report:
The top surface exhibits scattered scratches, several circular water stains, and a dark ink stain in the upper right corner. A significant wood chip is missing from the upper rear edge of the cabinet body. There is visible wear and finish loss along the edges of the tilting front panel. The interior shows heavy wear and darkening of the wood. Brass hardware displays a natural aged patina, and one screw is missing from the lower drawer label holder.
