Asa Blanchard Ky Coin Silver Cream Ladle & 6 Spoons

6 pieces of Kentucky coin silver marked for Asa Blanchard, working Lexington circa 1808-1838 plus 1 other spoon, possibly by Blanchard, 7 items total. 1st item: Cream ladle with plain fiddle handle monogrammed TAP(?), incuse stamp BLANCHARD. 5 7/8" L. 2nd through 6th items: 2 dessert spoons and 3 teaspoons, all with plain fiddle handles, three having various monograms, all with A. BLANCHARD or BLANCHARD marks in rectangles on backs (marks used post-1820; ref. Marquis Boultinghouse, SILVERSMITHS OF KENTUCKY, P. 299). 7th item: Teaspoon with worn mark A-, possibly the mark used by Blanchard prior to 1820, similar in form to the other spoons in this lot. Pieces range in size from 5" to 7". Combined weight: 4.42 oz troy. Note: more Kentucky coin silver will be offered on Day 2 of this auction.

Condition Report: Ladle with a few small dents to bowl. Repair to the teaspoon marked BLANCHARD. All spoons with small dents to bowls, one with light pitting to bowl. Wear to tips of bowls and some scratching.
