Asparagus server, Openwork asparagus scoop with Art Nouveau motifs (1) - .800 silver - Belgium - Early 20th century
Asparagus scoop with open worktop, completely in the symmetrical Art Nouveau style. The stem is sturdy, tapered towards the leaf and has beautiful engravings, including 2 medallions (intended for monograms if necessary) The stem is silver and marked with various colors that are not legible. I can recognize 800 and a Dutch tax label + triangular contour maker's mark This is probably a Belgian service, where Wolfers Freres comes into the picture immediately) The leaf is silver-plated so beautifully that I had to test it several times because it looked like silver. it concerns silver-plated here, but in beautiful condition. Length: 28. 5 cm leaf 12 x 10 Weight: 200 grams Beautiful copy
