Styptor is a pewter alloy that was used during WWII when precious metals were in short supply.
Of rectangular outline in engine-turned styptor opening to reveal a mirrored interior with three compartments, a compact, a perfume vial, a lipstick pot and comb, c. 1935, with a black suede outer cover
Styptor and 14k rose gold
Stamped styptor, metal, No. 42670; compact signed with VCA, No. 42670; lipstick and perfume vial also signed VCA
5 7/8 x 4 5/8 ins; Gross weight 461.3 dwts
Condition Report: Mirror has some discoloration, but in overall good condition, very minor scratches, rubies bright and lively. Outer case shows signs of considerable wear.
