This collection attempts to bring a fresh new perspective to the traditional woodworking technique of the inlay. The desk top displays a pattern composed by approximately 15. 000 fragments deriving from 10 timber essences from all over the word. You can see the herringbone geometrical pattern turning into a vertical motif on its four-centimeter-tall sides, revealing the intrinsic anatomy of the crafting composition. At a first glance, the aesthetics could evoke the one of the traditional marquetry, but it’s not a thin wooden layer; fragments of solid wood, though with a string authentic presence.
