\Artist: Athos Faccincani
Technique: Serigrafia in cornice\Signature: Hand signed\Dimensions: 60_80_cm
Artist: Athos Faccincani. Title: “Dove la luce fluttua nella bellezza”. Technique: serigraphy on rigid cardboard. Size: 80 x 60. Edition: III/L. Certified and framed work. Athos Faccincani (Peschiera del Garda, 1951) is one of the most successful Italian artists. Also known abroad thanks to important exhibitions, including the solo exhibition at the European Parliament, Strasbourg, and at the Grand Hayatt Hotel, Tokyo. He exhibited in many Italian and foreign cities (London, Paris, Chicago, Vienna, Madrid, Los Angeles, Zurich, New York. . .) , and was also appointed Personalità Europea 2008 in Rome at the Capitol. A self-taught artist who trained in the workshops of masters of his time, like Guidi, Seibezzi and Novati. In his early creative period, Faccincani made expressionist works, characterised by a strong introspection and gloomy colours. He studied attitudes and behaviours of marginalised persons, prisoners, and patients of psychiatric hospitals. His youth production caused him a deep existential crisis, which led him to abandon canvasses for some time in the late 1970s. With the birth of his son Mattia, he rediscovered the joie de vivre and the desire to paint. His style changed radically and approached Impressionism: landscapes became the new protagonists of his works; the warm colours of the Greek Islands, the Amalfi Coast and the Ligurian Riviera were predominant. Small brush strokes, vivid and clear tones, which throw the observer into summer atmospheres and into the lush nature of the Mediterranean.
