Condition Report: Condition consistent with age and materials. Darkening and unevenness to the varnish layer and minor surface abrasions to both. Layer of surface dirt to both. Lady: Rubbing to upper edge; small scattered losses to dress and in one spot on the neck ruff. Man: Visible inpainting repair to the sitter's middle and in the upper left corner. Unevenness to the copper surface. Both frames with nicks, abrasions, small losses and separation in corners.
