Oil on panel of exceptional quality in the style of "Il Cerano". The panel was originally nailed on a wooden support, perhaps to form the panel of a polyptych. The original nails and their marks can still be seen on the back and on the front (see photo details) . On the back of the panel there is an old signed inscription that reads "Da Per la S. Di Cerano Il Cerano fac. " and other writings that are not entirely decipherable. The work is in excellent condition following cleaning and restoration carried out in 2007. An in-depth study and expert examination can lead to surprising discoveries. Export to extraterritorial destinations will require ministerial authorisation which may not be granted to protect the Italian artistic heritage. Authorisation times can exceed three weeks.
