Attributed to Frans Floris, 'Let the children come to me', 16thC, oil on panel, 71 x 95 cm

New Testament scene 'Let the children come to me, for they will inherit the Kingdom of God', oil on parqueted oak panel.
Late 16thC, Antwerp School, a nice example of the style of mannerism.

Condition: The oak panel consists of three individual oak planks and is newly parqueted.
The painting has been thoroughly cleaned and restored. The faces and the cloaks are heavily overpainted. Shadow parts are overpainted.
Some minor cracks and pigment layer loss all over.
