Attributed to Kenneth Miller Adams, American 1897-1966- Cal. White Oak, San Ramon Valley; oil on canvas, signed with initials 'KMA' (lower right), titled 'Cal. White Oak / San Ramon Valley' on the reverse, 40.6 x 61 cm. Note: While Adams's mature work is in a more modernist idiom, the present work appears to be an early example of his landscape painting, possibly conceived while he was still a student at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1916-1918.
