Attributed to Miner Kilbourne Kellogg (American, 1814-1889)
Pocono Mountain landscape. Oil oil canvas, unsigned, framed in a carved and gilt wood frame with artist nameplate, overall 23½" x 19". Provenance: Cleveland, OH antique shop to current owner. Previous seller made attribution to Miner Kilbourne Kellogg as this artist sold many of his works in Cleveland in the late 1880s to finance his pension; a major portion of his paintings were also gifted to the Cleveland Museum of Art.
Condition: Craquelure surface, inpainting throughout lower quadrant of canvas seen under UV light, frame abrasions to perimeter; cleaned and restored by Great Lakes Art Conservation, LTD in 2010 in Cleveland, OH.
