Medieval chantefable illustrated with a five-color wood-engraving by Lucien Pissarro in frontispiece, borders and initial printed in red by Esther Pissarro after Lucien Pissarro. Limited edition to 230 copies on Arches paper printed in Vale type, in original cover, with a repeated floral motif printed in light and dark green on beige background, and matching clamshell box with gray background. Unnumbered, uncut copy. Last book printed in the Vale type at the Eragny Press. The following works are all printed in the Brook type, designed by Lucien Pissarro. Original cover soiled front and back, inside wood engraving in very good condition, as well as the other pages, front and back endpaper soiled.
