Audemars Piguet was founded in 1847 by Jules Audemars and Edward Piguet. For 175 years this watch manufacture has been producing world class timepieces. The Royal Oak model was introduced in 1972 in the midst of the Quartz Crisis. It was a revolutionary design executed by perhaps the most famous watch designer of the 20th century, Gerald Genta! This particular Royal Oak is a time and date model with open display back. The case measures 41mm and has been expertly encrusted with aftermarket diamonds. The dial and bracelet have the same treatment. It is a stunning watch with a world class 40 jewel automatic movement. The date function is quick set. This piece can be considered unisex.
Condition Report: Dial is in excellent condition. Case is in excellent condition. Movement is running at the time of cataloging. Overall the present example is in excellent condition.
