Austin Healey 100 Year of manufacture: 1953 1st series body no. 402. Rare specimen thus one of the 1st 500 and therefore very collectable and suitable for e. g. Mille Miglia. This Austin Healey 100 has been restored fresh Nut and Bolt and is fully Matching Numbers. Ready to drive the upcoming year, RDW approved and already equipped with a Dutch license plate. This Austin Healey 100 was with left steering ex-factory and was shipped by the Austin Motor Company in Longbridge to America according to the Heritage Certificate which is also available for inspection. Entirely according to certificate, this 100 has been executed and restored to detail. Beautifully lacquered in Ice Blue Metallic with blue leather interior and white piping on the chairs. Blue mohair made convertible hood with a corresponding Tonneau cover. Striking is the windshield that could be put into the flat racing position by a few simple actions. This Healey has the extremely rare plexiglass side windows, only delivered on the first few hundred cars. Engine and gearbox: The 4 cylinder 2. 6 engine pushrod Four with 2 H6 Carburettors has been completely newly overhauled and works perfectly, the engine compartment is completely finished to original specs. The valve cover is an original aluminium option in America with the inscription : Austin Healey 100. Max power: 100bhp@4500rpm. Max torque: 150lb. ft. @200 rpm. The gearbox is a 3 gear with ldn overdrive on the 2nd and 3rd gear. Completely overhauled by specialist F. Von Munching. Special is the hand-made, parts aluminium, gearbox cover. Exterior: Beautiful tight body with beautiful seams and eye for detail. Front and rear, bonnet, tailgate are ex-factory made of aluminium. As it should be, the body no. 402 is hammered in. Beautiful diamond grille in chrome, all chrome in mint condition. The Healey has a brake disc conversion at the front and drum brakes at the back. Avon tyres, classic. Interior: Fully executed in blue with the shared early Dashboard. Blue carpet woven and plastic leather door caps. Beautiful blue leather chairs with white piping.
