Leonard Lord, then Austin director, bought Healey's production rights before the stock market opened. The Healey was built by Donald Healey from Austin parts, which was ideal for Austin. Austin saw in the Healey the answer to the Triumph TR sports car from the Standard-Triumph concern. The 100/4 was the first Austin Healey. This beautiful '100/4' from the BN1 series was sold new in Tennessee USA. The car was imported to the Netherlands in 2012. The car was then extensively restored to top condition between March 2012 and June 2016. An extensive report of this is available. After this top restoration, it goes without saying that the paint and bodywork are in great condition. The fits of the sills, fenders, doors, hood, trunk lid and grille are perfect.
