Victoria gold "Shield" Sovereign 1872/1-M MS62 PCGS, Melbourne mint, KM6, S-3854, Marsh-59A (R4). A thoroughly delightful selection of this famed overdate rarity. The obverse fields are fresh and lustrous, with a hint of strike-through noted under the Queen's hair bun. Turning to reverse, we note a slightly rotated die and a partially flattened rim, not in the slightest diminishing the visual appeal of the dazzling brilliance unleashed at the smallest turn of the wrist.
