Very nice and quite rare Austro-Hungarian sword in good, original condition. Österreich-Ungarn Säbel für Staatsbeamte M 1889 Slightly curved steel blade with one wide fuller both sides. Maker's mark on ricasso: HUGO WEYERSBERG & SOHN SOLINGEN. Blade in virtually perfect condition. Wooden grip covered with fish or ray leather fixed with triple brass wire, with fitted gilded brass ornately scrolled guard and patterned pommel, with the coat of arms of Austro-Hungarian Empire. Hilt in perfect condition, metal parts with light natural patina. Wooden scabbard covered with black leather (leather in great condition) with gilt brass momunts, top one with embossed emperor's Franz-Joseph monogram under the crown.
