one of the "peg" screws that should be affixed to the bottom one of the bird's feet is now missing (there are two narrow drill holes in the onyx base to receive these screws and secure the bird into place); there appears ot be some later paint, notably to the white colored areas of the bird's side feathers and red colored brow; apparnely unsigned; there are scattered scratches, small nicks and rim chips to the onyx base, commensurate with age and usage; green felt fabric is affixed ot the underside
