Austrian Enamel and Silver-Gilt Octagonal Snuff Box, Possibly Ludwig Politzer, Vienna, Circa 1890. Painted on the cover and under the base with views of young couples playing music, dancing and strolling in a country landscape, and on the interior cover and base with Arcadian landscape scenes, the sides surrounded by winged female masks issuing foliate scrolls ending in hound's heads, the corners with musical and garden trophies, mark of initials "LP" into an oval under the finger latch. H: 1.125 in., W: 4.125 in., D: 2.875 in. Provenance: Property from the Collection of Cortlandt and Nancy Knowles Parker, Greenvale Farm Estate and Vineyard, Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
