Autograph Collection.- Artists, Authors & Musicians Autograph album featuring the rare signature by opera soprano Therese Tietjens, also signed by George Otto Trevelyan, Cyrus W. Field, Squire Bancroft, William Hewett (last surviving British Waterloo officer), Lord Stanley and a few others, signatures have been clipped and pasted onto pictorial album pages, some soiling, blue cloth, joints a bit tender, 8vo, late 19th century; together with: vintage postcard photographs signed by Henry J. Wood (with autograph music quotation signed), George Reimers, John Coates, Stanley Lupino, A.E. Kendall, Alfredo Costa and Haydn Morris; two clipped signatures Sir Anthony Hope Hawkins and Sir Gilbert Parker; an autograph letter by Edward J. Poynter to Sir Bruce Seton, reading "You have I think a watercolour of mine 'The Gate of the World'. I am proposing an exhibition of my watercolour works to be held at the Fine Art Society in New Bond Street in November and wish to ask you if you will lend the drawing in question, as I would like the collection to be as complete as possible", two pages, 8vo, 28 Albert Gate, 3 October 1903; an autograph letter by A.E.W. Mason to Lady Seton, regretting that a letter with an invitation had gone lost, one page, Queen Anne's Mansions, n.d.; a typed letter from Vivian Smith, 1st Baron Bicester, to Mr Frewer, saying "I am sorry your visit to Manchester was not more successful, but still it was a great achievement to have got to that position", one page, 8vo, Tusmore Park, 26 September 1949, and three others (18)
