Autograph Collection.- Authors & JournalistsA collection of autograph and typed letters signed by authors, poets and journalists, highlights including: Ouida (autograph note in pencil); Marie Corelli Freda Derrick (autograph and typed letters to Mr Charles Bramley, 1950-1952); Walter James Redfern Turner (autograph letter regarding publication of 'Pursuit of Psyche'); John Rowan Wilson; Annie French Hector; Paul Tabori (typed letter reads in part “I am enclosing an inscription for The Frontier which you can perhaps paste into the book… This is a strange and unreal city [Los Angeles] but it has many charms and advantages. We are beginning to like it.”, 4 December 1950); Annabel Williams-Ellis; Godfrey Winn (two typed letters, the first to Gordon Claridge saying "the other day I went into Hatchards to buy some new books...and after getting what I wanted, looked round for my own book. Could I find it?! After a considerable search, i finally ran into ground, not in the main shop at all, but on the far side of a table in the stationary department, in fact, in No Man's land. I could not help feeling this was a bit tough", the second expressing his relief that his book was displayed "in the best selling counter in the shop"); Henry Duff Traill; Herman Wouk; James Dillon White; Jack C.
