Autograph album with signatures by prominent figures, including: Amy Johnson, Jack Hobbs, Cliff Bastin, Tommy Farr, Harry Secombe, Freddy Mills, Sam Costa, Stanley Matthews, Joe Davis, miscellaneous collection comprising clipped signatures pasted onto album pages, light blue cloth, spine defective, handling wear, oblong 8vo; typed letter signed ('Aaron Copland') to Mr Painter, reading "I was naturally interested [...] to learn of the stimulus that my Appalachian Spring has provided for your painting [...]Perhaps it was not clear that the title was chosen by Miss Graham after the work had been entirely completed. The Hart Crane poem from which she derived the title has no bearing whatever on the music or the ballet.
