Autograph Letter from the Ohr Sameach; Dvisnk, 1899

Handwritten and signed letter from Rabbi Meir Simcha HaKohen of Dvinsk, author of Ohr Sameach and Meshech Chachma, addressed to Rabbi Moshe Rosen, AB"D of Kiejdany and author of Nezer HaKodesh.

Rabbi Meir Simcha HaKohen (1843 - 1926) was a renowned Lithuanian scholar and was familiar with all areas of Torah as is clearly evident in his acclaimed sefarim. Rabbi Meir Simcha was greatly admired by all the leading rabbis of his time and was respected for his brilliance, refinement and holiness. He served as Av Beis Din of Dvinsk.
The letter's recipient, Rabbi Moshe Rosen, was "important and honored in the eyes of the Ohr Sameach."
