A collection of 75 autograph letters, also with cut signatures and free franks, including autograph letters by:

John Ruskin (to Captain Johnson, apologising that a servant had poached game birds, 1 page, 8vo, Brantwood, 3 December 1867); the Marquis de Lafayette (accepting an offer to begin a correspondence, 2 pages, 4to, 13 July 1785); Giuseppe Mazzini (20 May, n.y.); Louis Blanc; Robert Browning (accepting an invitation, 24 January 1874); Raja Ram Roy (on the opening of London Bridge, 2 August 1831); Sir Moses Montefiore (5 July 1843); and Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (partially printed letter, to Miss Lawrie, forwarding a prospectus for a house, with an autograph postscript, 21 August 1885); mounted on 62 pages, a few items loose, plus blanks, folio, album lacking upper cover, adhesive stains to some items, some wear and tear and light spotting, tear to Lafayette letter
