Philadelphia: December 28th, 1722 (amended September 2, 1768). 1 p. 24 1/2 x 15 in. (62 x 38 cm). Indenture relating to yearly sums paid for the use of a certain plot of land. Ink on vellum in a secretarial hand, with handwritten amendment dated Sept 2 1768, signed "B. Franklin" as Pennsylvania Colonial official; signature overwritten in an unknown hand at a later date. With light creasing at old folds and with a crease traversing Franklin's signature, small closed tear to edge at fold, not affecting Franklin's signature, tiny pinholes at folds. In frame.
