Katzenbach, Jr. (1919-74) was Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Education and Manpower Resources during the Kennedy and Johnson administrations. He was brother of Nicholas de B. Katzenbach (1922-2012), United States Attorney General during the Johnson administration.
