Automobiles Gillet-Forest. 1900.
What do we have here? This new model from Gillet Forest seems to have astounded this group of onlookers, but the mystery that most perplexes us is their choice of couture: their driving accessories have taken on a futuristic aesthetic, and the admiring woman in white seems to be wearing a makeshift space suit. Gillet Forest was founded in 1899 in Saint-Cloud, France; their first automobiles were steam powered, and from 1902 on, they built cars with combustion engines. The company ended production around 1908.
