"It may interest you to know that, after receiving your letter of October 22nd, we invited Monsieur Millevoye to come here and give us his recommendations in greater detail." Written just two weeks after Balfour's letter to Lord Rothschild, known as the Balfour Declaration, he discusses a possible meeting with an unlikely politician: right-wing nationalist Lucien Millevoye.
