BALTIMORE, MARYLAND DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, "3" gallon capacity mark, ovoid form with double incised shoulder rings, arched tab handles, and rounded rim. Brushed cobalt horizontal floral decoration full round, additional cobalt at handle terminals. Probably Parr Pottery, Baltimore, MD. Mid 19th century.
Condition: Overall very good condition, with flake to base and handle, a few light interior hairlines that do not appear to go through to exterior. Firing imperfections, including glazed over chip and firing separation on handle, as made.
Size: 13 3/8" H, 7 1/2" D rim.
