Generally worn condition with heavy folds, repaired tears, pin-holes, etc. This is a rare type of this famous bank. Founded to rival the powerful Banque de l'Indochine. Inc. 1913 in Peking, and it obtained the concession for several important public works in Peking and in some Chinese ports. During WWI, the bank expanded quickly, offering very favourable rates of interest to its clients. After the war, the Banque de l'Indochine counterattacked and by 1921, the Banque Industrielle de Chine was in serious difficulties. Two years later, the bank was bankrupt.
