Pietro Paolo Girelli (Italian, active around 1690) baroque plates collection was entirely dedicated to the fountains of Rome. Includes two uncolored copper engravings on laid paper depicting a view of the Fontana dei Dioscuri and the Piazza del Quirinale and a view of the Fontana nella Piazza della Rotonda engraved after the drawings by Giuseppe Tiburzio Vergelli (Italian, active 1680-1695). Inscribed, in plate, lower left: GTV disegno. Printed by Matteo Gregorio Rossi in 1690. Framed. Pietro Paolo Girelli was a Rome born etcher and engraver, working during the 1690s on large topographical plates.
