[ translate ]

BARRY FLANAGAN, R.A.
1941 - 2009
CHEVAL À DEUX DISQUES

stamped with Artist's monogram, dated 88, numbered AP. and stamped with foundry stamp
bronze
height: 86cm.; 34in.
Conceived in 1988, the present work is the AP aside from the edition of 8.

Condition Report:
There is a fine line of cracking running across the base of the larger disc on the horse's back, where it joins the horse. There are fine lines of cracking to the circumference of the disc, most evidently to the front but also to the back, most likely due to the casting process. There appear to be flecks of paint to the surface of the work, predominantly to the base but in a number of places elsewhere. There are instances of casting residue to creviced areas and light surface dust, particularly to the base. There are a small number of tiny flecks of oxidation. There is some light rubbing, particularly to protruding areas, including to the tip of tendril and to the small disc. This excepting, the work appears in good overall condition.

The work is freestanding.
