BELGIUM. 5 Francs, 1849. Brussels Mint. Leopold I. PCGS MS-64.
BELGIUM. 5 Francs, 1849. Brussels Mint. Leopold I. PCGS MS-64.
KM-3.2. A very pleasing example of this last year of issue for the type exhibiting a sharp strike, smooth satiny surfaces and a nice cartwheel effect. The nearly white surfaces are accentuated with glimpses of a champagne color on both sides adding to its appeal. Housed in an older green label PCGS holder and in our opinion a bit conservatively graded.
Estimate: $700 - $1,000.
