Great cover by an unknown hack depicting a terrified guy face-to-face with a bag of bones. This image will be familiar to readers of Mike Benton's Horror Comics: The Illustrated History [Taylor: 1991], the first general history of horror comics, where it's pictured on the front cover to rather striking effect. Classic pre-Code covers are rocketing in value these days, but this overlooked gem still sells for old-school prices. As fans wise up, this mag's status is sure to zoom — now's a good time to buy.
