Rabbi Ahron Yosef Shmuel Segal, son of Rabbi Yechezkel Segal – Rabbi of Trentshin and son-in-law
of Rabbi Binyamin Ze’ev Loew – the Shaarei Torah. Disciple of Rabbi Elazar Loew – Rabbi of Szanto
and author of Shemen Rokeach. He succeeded his father in the Trentschin rabbinate on the
recommendation of the Chasam Sofer. His Torah homilies are published in his father’s Sefer Toras
Yechezkel.
