(BLACK PANTHERS.) Collection of "Wanted by FBI" posters for Eldridge Cleaver, Angela Davis, H. Rap Brown, and several white radicals. 14 posters, two of them 16 x 10 1/2 inches, and the others 8 x 8 inches, each signed in facsimile by J. Edgar Hoover; each with multiple binding holes near the top edge, moderate foxing; the Brown poster addressed to a Wyoming post office, and the others all addressed to the Naranja branch of the post office in Homestead, FL. Washington, 1968 and 1970

The Cleaver poster is dated 13 December 1968 and charges him with interstate flight and assault with intent to commit murder; it has short separations at the folds. The H. Rap Brown poster is dated 5 May 1970. The Angela Davis poster is dated 19 August 1970 and is in the smaller 8 x 8-inch format.
Also in the smaller format are posters for Weather Underground affiliates Bernardine Dohrn, Kathy Boudin, Mark Rudd, Jane Alpert, and Cathlyn Platt Wilkerson * Katherine Ann Power and Susan Saxe (Brandeis students who robbed a bank to help arm the Black Panthers) * and University of Wisconsin bombers David Fine, Dwight Armstrong, Karleton Armstrong and Leo Burt, all dated 1970.
