成化款 青花瓶 BLUE AND WHITE GLOBULAR VASE

A fine, underglazed blue and white bottle vase, with auspicious Taoist and Buddhist symbols, featuring two mythical creatures, flaming pearls, two flying cranes, one soaring skywards and one flying down, all illustrations above a base of huge waves and wavelets, the shoulder featuring four peony blossoms, amidst florets and twining leaves, the bottle neck featuring yet again flaming pearls, topped by a row of twines and florets bordered by double circle lines.
