BLUE-PAINTED AND CARVED WALNUT BOWL, PROBABLY MAINE, CIRCA 1840

with notched end handles, together with thirteen turned and stained maple simulated fruit.
Height 5 ¼ in. by Width 17 ½ in. by Depth 7 in.

Condition Report:
In overall fine condition. Vibrant coloration to the bowl remains intact showing layers of green and blue paints. Wear and discoloration commensurate with age and use. Areas of flaking and rubbing to the paint layers with some areas of the wood showing through. The simulated fruit are in fine condition with some fading to the coloration consistent with frequent handling.
