It was delivered in Hilversum (The Netherlands) on 01-12-1986. The M3 stood in the showroom of BMW dealer Hans Koster in Hilversum from 12-1986 to 02-1988. It was then purchased by a lady from the same town. She drove it out of the showroom on 26-02-1988. The M3 went to the 2nd owner on 17-11-1989 with 23,500 km on the counter. It went with 57,000 km to the 3rd owner on 16-06-1992. The engine and gearbox have been overhauled. The gearbox on 120,000 km, the engine on 130,000 km. Invoices available. The M3 was completely stripped back in 2011, the bodywork was blasted, totally repainted inside and out in the original colour Alpin Weiss, and completely rebuilt in 2012. This was done by a BMW dealer in Hoogeveen using many new original parts such as: •Bonnet •Both front wings •Complete rear panel •Metal part of the sliding / tilting roof •Front panel •Headlights •Fog lights •Logos all around •Window rubbers •Antenna •Grille •Kidney grilles •Main clutch cylinder •Brake lines •Fuel lines •Wiring harness •Insulation mat bulkhead •Etcetera All invoices are available for inspection. About 2,500 km were driven since the restoration. Maintenance booklet, on-board literature, original tool set, jack and other tools are all complete and will be included. The S14 has had a minor upgrade. It has Schrik camshafts with specially programmed software. This upgrade has increased power from 194HP to about 250HP. The original camshafts have been kept and will be included. The engine and gearbox are “matching numbers”. Also, the original muffler (a Hartge muffler is currently mounted) is present. And also, the bonnet insulation (which is no longer available elsewhere) will be delivered separately. The car is in Zuidwolde, the Netherlands.
