The en grisaille work on illustration board incorporating watercolor and gouache is signed lower right and dated 1942. A Kraushaar Galleries label inside provides the title.

Sight size 14 x 9.5, the frame measures 23.25 x 17.75 inches.

Provenance: The estate of Morton and Estelle Sosland.
In Kansas City, the Sosland family name is synonymous with both giving, and the arts. Of their many contributions to the community, 'The Soslands gave one of the nation's finest private collections of American Indian art to the Nelson-Atkins' museum (nelson-atkins.org).
