Late 19th Century British pith helmet with khaki sweatband and battle flash on the left side, as well as copper-toned cap badge for the Lancashire Hussars, a regiment activated for service in the Second Boer War in 1899. Signed inside the crown "Sgt. Smith ___", marked a size 6 7/8, and marked "For India" Leather sweatband and chinstrap are intact, as are the cork spacers. Sweatband is lined with newspaper dated August 13, 1898. Light soiling and age wear. Excellent
