When the Bombay School of Arts was founded, potters from Sindh continued to produce ceramics heavily influenced by the pottery of their homeland. They only later began to take influence from European, and in particular, British ceramics of the time.

Some old restorations are visible to the edge of the foot. There is wear and some losses to the glaze. There is crazing throughout, which could be harbouring a hairline crack(s).
