BOOK OF HOURS IN OLD CHURCH CYRILLIC TYPE, gilt lettered "Tchasovnik" on spine. N.d., but before 1829 (according to dated owner's entries in ms.). 4°. Old full cf. over thick wooden brds., w. blindstamped decorations on both sides, brass catches and 1 (of 2) leather hinged brass clasp. (Title fails?, in fine condition).Book of hours, starting with instructions regarding praying in the evenings and mornings, etc. Printed in red and black on laid blueish paper. From the use of the Slavic ï this could well be an Ukrainian prayer book. - Sold w.a.f., not subject to return.
