A splendid collection of views in this deluxe edition in which all the plates have been retouched by hand.

Elephant folio (555 x 370mm). 52 lithographic plates finished by hand, mounted and numbered 1-52 of which n. 50 is used as frontispiece (occasional spotting, title and a few other plates detached, rust marks on title and second leaf). Editorial green half morocco, gilt title on front cover and spine, gilt edges (extremities rubbed). The other copies on the market usually have 51 plates on 29 sheets. Provenance: Dr. Ada Peyrot (bookseller's ticket).

Folio elefante (555 x 370mm). 52 splendide tavole litografiche a colori ritoccate a mano, montate e numerate 1-52 di cui la 50 è costituita dal frontespizio (occasionali fioriture marginali, il frontespizio e poche tavole staccate, segno di graffetta arrugginita al frontespizio e alla pagina seguente). Mezzo marocchino verde editoriale, titolo in oro al piatto anteriore, dorso e tagli dorati (estremità un po' lise). Le altre copie sul mercato hanno generalmente 51 tavole su 29 fogli.
