Régence, the dial and movement signed ALEXANDRE BROCHET A PARIS (Alexandre Brochet, maître 1729), Paris ca. 1730.

Brown tortoiseshell, finely inlaid with brass; flowers, leaves, cartouches and decorative frieze. Bronze dial with 24 enamel cartouches. 3 hands. Movement with verge escapement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell. Opulent mounts and applications. Some losses.
