Louis XV, the case signed ANT. FOULLET (Antoine Foullet, maître 1749), Guild stamp, the dial signed STRAUBHAAR A STRASBOURG (Johann Jakob Straubhaar, active 1721-ca. 1750), Strasbourg ca. 1750.
Wood, inlaid all-around with brass and polychrome tortoiseshell; flowers, foliage and decorative frieze. Dial with 12 enamel plaques. 2 fine, pierced hands. Movement with verge escapement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell. Opulent bronze mounts and applications. Requires restoration.
