BRANDER; an early 19th century flintlock blunderbuss, 17" part octagonal cast steel barrel with fluted muzzle, lock plate stamped with maker's details and mounted on walnut stock with brass furniture, no visible proof marks, overall length 81cm.Condition Report - Please note that this lot is not suitable for our in-house postage service. We would recommend booking a collection slot for this lot or contacting Bradleys Antique Packing Services for postage of this lot, their details can be found on https://www.adampartridge.co.uk/services/transport/ Overall well used condition showing signs of wear throughout, most notably the right hand tip of the forend is missing a section and the majority of the left hand side is split with visible crude filler repair, further pinned throughout with further nicks, scuffs, scrapes, fading, staining, losses visible throughout the woodwork, the barrel has been re-finished leaving a fairly even patina which continues through the lock plate although the hammer has areas of pitting visible, the lock plate itself is slightly ill-fitting in the stock towards the rear, otherwise appears ok, doesn't hold in half cock position and fires from the full cock position with good spring tension.BRANDER; an early 19th century flintlock blunderbuss, 17" part octagonal cast steel barrel with fluted muzzle, lock plate stamped with maker's details and mounted on walnut stock with brass furniture, no visible proof marks, overall length 81cm.
